E agora, depois de passar por uma revitaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, pretende se manter nessa posi\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>\nO museu abriu as portas a um novo anexo, chamado The Switch House, que foca na amplia\u00e7\u00e3o de seu acervo de obras internacionais em 60%: s\u00e3o dez andares constru\u00eddos ao lado do pr\u00e9dio original da galeria, ambos acima dos espa\u00e7os subterr\u00e2neos do museu, chamados The Tanks. O escrit\u00f3rio manteve o estilo industrial da galeria e adicionou um contorno moderno, resultando em um pr\u00e9dio com formato piramidal retorcido.
